John 10:10

I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

2 Kings 4:1-7

The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha. “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revere the LORD.  But his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said”exept a little olive oil.” Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few.  Then go inside and shut the door behind you and our sons.  Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”  she left him and shut the door behind her and her sons.  They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring.  When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”  But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing. She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts.  You and your sons can live on what is left.”

2 Kings 13: 14-20

Now Elisha was suffering from the illness from which he died.  Jehoash king of Isreal went down to see him and he wept over him. “My father! My father!” he cried.  ” The chariots and horsemen of Isreal!” Elisha said “Get a bow an some arrows” and he did so.  “Take the bow in your hands,” he said to the king of Isreal. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hans on the king’s hands.  “Open the east window,” he said, and he opened it.  “Shoot!” elisha said, and he shot. “The LORD”s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Aram!” Elisha declared.  “You will completely destroy the Arameans at Aphek.”  Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the king took them.  Elisha told him, “Stike the ground.”  He struck it three times and stopped.  The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it.  But now you will efeat it only three times.  Elisha died and was buried.
